JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, sixth President of the U. S. Served one term - from March 4, 1825 to March 3, 1829.


JOHN QUINCY ADAMS was born in Quincy, Mass. on July 11, 1767, and was elected by the House of Representatives, none of the Presidential candidates having a majority in the Electorral college. After retiring as President, he was elected to the House of Representatives, and fell dead on Feb. 21, 1848 as he rose to make an address in the House.
