For long haul flights (D7, XJ and XT), your Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia* policy will be automatically carried forward to your new itinerary if you make any changes to your AirAsia flight.

1. What is Sales and Services Tax or SST?
Apakah Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan atau SST?

The Sales and Services Tax is also referred to as “SST”. Sales Tax is a single stage tax levied on imported and locally manufactured goods, Service Tax is charged and levied on any provision of taxable services.

The SST was re-introduced in Malaysia effective from 1 September 2018.

All claims must be submitted to Tune Protect Malaysia within 30 days after the occurrence of the event together with the supporting documents.

Semua tuntutan mesti diserahkan kepada Tune Protect Malaysia dalam tempoh 30 hari selepas berlakunya kejadian yang tidak diduga bersama-sama dengan dokumen sokongan.

6. What shall I do if I disagree with a claim decision made?
Apakah yang perlu saya lakukan jika saya tidak bersetuju dengan keputusan tuntutan yang dibuat?

7. I am not a Malaysian resident. How will I receive my claim reimbursement?

You may opt to receive your reimbursement via bank draft or telegraphic transfer. Kindly be advised that any cost, charges and/or fees in relation to overseas bank remittance and/or issuance of bank draft in respect of the settlement of your claim shall be borne by you.

Anda boleh memilih untuk menerima bayaran balik melalui draf bank atau pemindahan telegraf. Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa sebarang kos, caj dan/atau bayaran berhubung dengan kiriman wang ke luar negara dan/atau pengeluaran draf bank berkenaan dengan penyelesaian tuntutan anda akan ditanggung semata-mata oleh anda.

1. Am I covered with COVID-19 during my trip?

Adakah saya dilindungi untuk COVID-19 semasa perjalanan saya?

Yes, you will be covered for COVID-19 under the bereavement allowance, hospital income, emergency overseas evacuation & repatriation, trip cancellation and compassionate visit benefits if you choose to purchase Plus Plan that is with COVID-19 Coverage.

For reimbursement of medical expenses due to COVID-19, reimbursement shall be according to the amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits up to a maximum of MYR 250,000 (depending on selected plan) if you contract COVID-19 and are hospitalized in the Country of Arrival due to Stage 3 to Stage 5 treatment up to the first 30 days of Trip duration.

Important Note: Please ensure that the travel insurance plan that you purchased meets the Country of Arrival’s minimum medical expenses coverage requirement.

Certain types of information may also be requested from you from time to time in the event you submit an application for a policy to us, have an active policy with us or for authentication into secure areas of the Tune Protect Group Website, when required (including personal details of family members or next of kin where it shall be deemed that their consent have been obtained by you). Where information is obtained through social media feature, we may access and collect information you have chosen to make available and to include in your social media profile or account, including but not limited to your name, gender, birthday, email address, address, location etc. Our access to this information may be limited or blocked based on your privacy settings with the relevant social media provider.
